Week Notes #2

After hearing all the hype about the Cotton Candy Frappuccino at Starbucks, I decided to try it. If the Nivea lip butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss was blended into a drink, it would be this drink. Kind of strange to taste something so similar, so I don't think I'll be getting it again. It didn't taste bad, but the association with my lip butter makes me want to stay away.

I've been doing a LOT of eating out, so here are some highlights from the past couple of weeks :p

Not only do we eat out a lot, but my friends and I have also been playing a LOT of The Settlers of Catan. Not just whenever they come over (which is almost everyday), but also online. Before I learned how to play this board game, I was very confused by the concept. After learning, I was HOOKED. It is a great game of strategy, trading/getting resources, and luck.

We actually didn't know where to place some of the game pieces until we played it online, so the numbers and ports are placed in the wrong spots in this picture!

My last picture is the happiest one. On my mom's birthday, I was able to go back home for the day and surprise her with some flowers (for the first time!) I am lucky enough to have a job this summer, so I didn't hesitate to spend a little extra money on her :) My boyfriend and I also treated her to some all-you-can-eat hot pot, which was delicious!
