After getting a 20% off coupon from Barnes & Noble in the mail two weeks ago, I had to use it on The Hogwarts Library (Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, The Tales of Beedle the Bard) by J.K. Rowling. I love how all the covers match and since I haven't read these yet, I figure it'll be motivation to finish my Harry Potter series re-read.

February was a big month for new releases!
Like I mentioned in last week's Top Ten Tuesday, I sent a library request for Girl Before a Mirror by Liza Palmer after Hannah so highly recommended it in her lovely review. I'm craving some women's fiction after reading The Life Intended by Kristin Harmel (I wrote a mini review in last week's Forget Me Not!)
I haven't read anything by V.E./Victoria Schwab yet but A Darker Shade of Magic seems like a great place to start. Parallel universes, magic and London? COUNT ME IN.
I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios would have escaped my "to read" list, but EVERYONE has been so vocal about how great it is and I just had to see for myself. I'll be picking this up after my current read (Paper Towns by John Green) so you'll be hearing about my feels soon enough :p
I've been quite excited for A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas so of course I read it as soon as I got home. It's a reimagining of Sleeping Beauty after she wakes up from true love's kiss, and y'all know how I feel about twists on fairytales ... (I love 'em!)
What was the last book you purchased for yourself? Which book do you think I should read after I finish I'll Meet You There? (I'm 95% sure it'll be A Darker Shade of Magic!)

I have this problem with needing to read new releases as soon as possible, even by authors whom I've never read anything by. Luckily, my library has this snazzy tab on their website called "suggest a title" — and suggesting ALL the books is exactly what I've been doing. I was able to borrow two January releases (All Fall Down by Ally Carter and Love, Lucy by April Lindner) as well as A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall.

I wasn't able to resist buying Landline by Rainbow Rowell when I saw it on Book Outlet's website (I really need to start avoiding that page ...). I've wanted a copy since it came out last July but couldn't bring myself to spend $16, so I am ECSTATIC that I found it for a great price.
The other three books that bought - because I can't just buy one book - were To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han, Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson, Nowhere but Home by Liza Palmer. I've heard nothing but good things about Liza Palmer from Hannah at So Obsessed With!
Lastly, I received Making Pretty by Corey Ann Haydu in the mail after winning a giveaway on Goodreads. I've only ever won one book (Ten Girls to Watch by Charity Shumway) so this was REALLY exciting!
Did you purchase or receive any new books this week? Have you read any of the books I mentioned? Do you suggest titles for your city's library?
I thought it would be fun to start this feature (it's the exact same concept as "Stacking the Shelves", but I wanted to change up the name :p) and share some books I've recently bought/received in photo form. It's my attempt to be creative and interesting, haha.
I've been meaning to read Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout for the longest time, but I didn't want to buy it in the old cover because of the final book's cover change. Interestingly enough, the publishers decided to create a bind-up of the first two books (as well as a bind-up of books three and four) and call it Lux: Beginnings. I personally don't mind this change and am excited to have a copy for myself!
Four: A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth was a must-buy for me. The novellas came out separately a while ago, but 1) the covers were disastrous and 2) I didn't like ebooks back then. To be honest, Four is probably going to be the only book (out of the three) that I may read in the month of August. I buy books even though I know I won't get to them immediately to have the option of picking it up whenever I feel like it. Is this the same with you too?
Everyone and they mamas have read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I haven't heard a single bad thing about this book, so I would really love to start it. It'll definitely be something new for me (I don't normally read fantasy) but I thought I'd give it a try.

What books have you recently purchased or received?
Do you normally read the books you buy right away?

Hi guys, I'm finally on summer break now! Which means more book reviews and posts :) I just wanted to quickly share a new video I filmed (yes, another book haul!) a couple of days ago. I'm sure you can tell I won't be buying more books any time soon :p

It's a book haul! (This could also be interpreted as "a video in which I discuss the physical features of each book and not actually what the books are about.") It was a little painful to edit because I had a lot of outtakes, but I hope you enjoy it for what it is.
Which book do you think I should read and review first?
Have you read any of these?
Last week, I tweeted this image of myself with a (not so) mysterious box ... these are the books that were inside!
I've known about Book Outlet for quite some time now, but I didn't know how to take advantage of their site and could never find any of the books I was interested in through their categories. I finally decided to just search individual titles and it worked really well for me. It took about 8 business days to arrive, which is reasonable, and the books were in great condition :)
I'm currently reading The Lover's Dictionary (its small size is very cute!) and am planning to finish Sapphire Blue, the book that follows Ruby Red, and Cinder, a steampunk re-imagining of Cinderella, by the end of February. The Rithmatist and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making are both books that have been mentioned by Regan over at Peruse Project (what else is new?) Although they are both middle grade books, I'm sure they are well-written and will be exciting to read!
I'm hoping to review and share my thoughts on both Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue sometime in March, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Would you prefer to see that before or after my February Wrap Up?

I don't usually do back-to-back posts on the same topic, but I really wanted to share a mini book haul with you all and tell you about #AYearAThon, the read-a-thon I joined that started TODAY! As the name suggests, there will be a read-a-thon with a different theme every month. This month, from February 3 - 9, we will be reading anything and everything related to Harry Potter! (I'll be tracking my progress on Twitter.) If you want to join us, just visit us here :) If you don't want to read Harry Potter in February but would like to see what else we're reading in the future, check out this schedule.
Now, onward to the books I purchased a week ago!
If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably already seen this. Target was being a little generous with its prices and I caved. I usually purchase paperback versions, but I couldn't help myself this time!
The paperback cover of Ruby Red does not hold a candle to the hardcover cover, so it wasn't a question whether or not I should pay a little extra for the hardcover. I already placed an order on Book Outlet for the second book and can't wait to find the last one! The Darkest Minds has been a top book of 2013 for a lot of the book vloggers I watch on YouTube, and Fangirl is too cute to deny from my collection. I've already finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it. (More on that at the end of this month!) I heard about The 5th Wave via Priscilla from The Readables but did not care to purchase it until now, and The Diviners was a necessary purchase after Regan from Peruse Project continuously mentioned it in a couple of her videos.
Along with these books I purchased, I'll also be attempting to read the entire Harry Potter series (even after the read-a-thon ends) during the month of February. It's one of my 2014 reading goals and I'm happy to be completing a huge goal this early in the year. Realistically, I don't think it's possible for me to complete 11 books in one month (I am a full-time college student), so I'm thinking this will be my TBR (to be read) for March too.
